Car's History

The DB5 was the first and remains the most famous of all the James Bond Aston Martins having first appeared in the film 'Goldfinger' in 1964.

This DB5 not only remains in its original Goodwood green and black colour scheme, the car also remains on the original registration mark when the first owner took delivery back in 1965.

Up until recently the DB5 had enjoyed the same owner for the past 40 years and has an impeccable history file which features receipts from Aston Martin Lagonda for an exchange engine in March 1974.

There is also letter enclosed which is a valuable piece of history, reassuring customers that operations have resumed after Aston Martin had been rescued from bankruptcy by Company Developments.

In 1990 the DB5 was treated to a bare metal respray and full interior retrim which cots in excess of £24,000.

Aston Engineering looked after the car for many years after the refurbishment and in 2014 an overhaul of the electrical items and lead-free conversion was carried out to a cost of £15,087.

The Aston Martin DB5 has benefitted from an uncompromising no expense spared ownership for the past 40+ years with an exceptional history file to support this beautiful looking car, you really do feel you are part of a movie every time you take this car out.
