Engine Overhaul

All the working parts of the engine are restored to original working clearances as far as the conditions allow. We also take advantage of advances in materials technology, with the aim of improving the longevity and reliability of the unit. Where required, appropriate modest performance enhancements can be incorporated which do not detract from the reliability of the unit. We are more than happy to discuss these with clients considering work of this nature.

With the passing of time major engine components may be showing their age. This is particularly evident in the case of cylinder heads and cylinder blocks. Rolls-Royce specified unusually thin wall sections for their castings, and with material loss due to corrosion they will now be even thinner. Fortunately this need not be a problem as the majority of pre-war cylinder heads and blocks have been re-manufactured are now available.
