Mulliner Drop Head Coupe

Bentley 4 1/4L with coachwork by H J Mulliner

Drop head coupe with disappearing hood

This delectable and stylish car is an example of the elegant coachwork that can be produced on the Derby Bentley chassis. With a fully-disappearing hood a completely smooth body line is produced. The original owner of the car was Captain Woolf Barnato; he so liked his earlier Bentley 3 1/2 L that when he changed to a 4 1/4L car he had the body transferred from his old car to the new.

This car has been totally restored by ourselves. A number of enhancements were made to the engine and running gear to increase the delight of Alpine touring.

Since the completion of the restoration this magnificent car has won the following awards:

Class winner, RREC Annual Concours 2004
Class winner, BDC Annual Concours, 2004
European Concours d'Elegance 2004, Dusseldorf
Masters Class, RREC Annual Concours 2005
Concorso d’eleganza di Villa D’Este 2006 La Targa d’Argento Class D
