COACHBUILDING

The Fiennes Coachbuilding section is able to reproduce coachwork from drawings or photographs in the original style, using the traditional coachbuilding skills. In general the coachwork designs are reproduced as they were originally conceived. However with the benefit of many years hindsight improvements can be made which do not detract from the construction of the coachwork itself. In addition repairs of any magnitude can be handled, ranging from the correction of minor paintwork defects and panel damage to major crash repairs in the unhappy event that these are required.

A major element of coachwork restoration which is often overlooked is the area of coachwork fittings and body furniture. This ranges from door hinges to windscreen mechanisms, window winding mechanisms to sunshine roof equipment. Many of these parts we re-manufacture to original patterns, or refurbish as required.
