Inspiring the next generation of classic car experts

At Fiennes we are passionate about inspiring the next generation of Rolls-Royce and Bentley experts. To ensure we can offer the comprehensive knowledge and skills we are renowned for to owners for years to come, we have appointed two apprentices to join our team.

We were thrilled when A-level student, Simon, undertook a work experience placement with us and showed a natural aptitude for all aspects of vehicle restoration and parts manufacture. Not only this, but his enthusiasm and obvious enjoyment of the work was infectious and a joy to see. It was because of his skill and commitment that we offered him the chance to work in our Machine Shop. He is a great addition to our team of expert machinists and tool makers, and is already producing high quality parts to be used on cars. He is currently running our Britan lathe producing many and various small components. In time he will move around the Machine Shop learning the complexities of the other machines we have.

We have also welcomed 16 year old Sam to our mechanical restoration team. Like Simon, Sam has a great feel for all things mechanical and is being indoctrinated into the delights of the Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcar. Sam has spent many happy hours restoring and maintaining classic motorbikes with his father. He is now shadowing experts in our mechanical restoration team, whilst spending a day a week at college learning more about engineering skills. He will shortly be doing a stint in our Machine Shop, with a view to equipping him with all the skills needed to be a well-rounded restoration expert.

We are always interested to know of dynamic, committed individuals with a passion for engineering and restoration. If you are interested or know of anyone who might be interested in joining the Fiennes Restoration team, please check out our job opportunities pages.
