Has your car had its annual service?

Our Restoration department is planning the workload for 2015, and we are thinking particularly of slots for service requirements with the next season of motoring in mind.

You might feel that a low annual mileage does not require quite such regular servicing; fewer miles means less wear on components. Yes? Well, not really! Little or lack of use can be just as damaging, with one-shot systems draining, lubricants deteriorating and tyres perishing or suffering from standing in one spot.

Based on the Rolls-Royce factory schedules we have developed our own service scheme to suit the modern usage of our cars. The service recommendations for an average user of 5000 miles or less per year, are set out as follows:

  • Yearly interval, a full lubrication check and fluids top up or change, plus:
  • Every second year, a more thorough check including plugs, points, tappets, and mixture.
  • Every fourth year a full brake inspection, fluid changes for gearbox and differential, plus leaf spring inspection.

And, of course there is now no requirement for an MOT test, but all vehicles should at the very least have a regular roadworthiness check, which we can undertake at the same time as servicing your car.

Give us a call soon on +44(0)1367810438 or email us to make sure you are scheduled in for your service.
